interior facade
interior facade is a project which delineates space and absence by way of permeated interiors. Sculptural spheres began as metaphors for interior entities that were dislodged and delivered into the outside world. This metaphor lead to a tactile inquiry into other possible interior delineations. The observer’s position alters the ex/in-teriority of the spaces in question. Photographs of sculptures lay next to photographs of architectural details where line, balance, and harmony frame the space and define a “room”. The rhythmic pairing of these images initiates the perceptual sense that exterior is defined by interior and vice versa.
