REC

Three wall projections, 9 'x 11', act as either screens presenting performed activities or windows exposing private social landscapes.  Orange pass, marshmallow race, and bobbing for apples are the rec room activities.  A grass pattern latch hooked rug, of the same dimensions as the video images, locates the vantage point for the viewer.  Through adolescent recreation recorded within a fabricated frame, the videos display the intimate space of dialogue.  The audio is a manipulated mix of the three activities converting the heavy breathing and panting of play into a suggestive sexual subtext.
